Population of Adilabad District is 7,08,972 of which male and female are 3,56,407 and 3,52,565 respectively according to 2015  Telangana SKS Data. 99,422  people are Scheduled Castes and  2,24,622  people are Scheduled Tribes forming 31% of the total population in the district respectively. The district literacy rate is 63.46 %. The literacy rate among the SCs and STs is 66% and 61%. Some of the tribal groups like Gonds, Lambadas, Kolams, Mannewars, inhabit Adilabad. Hence it can be ascertained that Adilabad is essentially a rural district with vast forest cover and tribal population. Majority of tribals depend on agriculture and forest resources for their livelihood. Adilabad is the second highest tribal population concentration district in the State of Telangana.
The tribals inhabit most of the villages but their concentration is more in agency mandals i.e., Utnoor, Narnoor, Indervelly, Gadiguda and Sirikonda which are scheduled areas governed by 5th Schedule of the constitution of India.  Aboriginal tribes like kolams live in isolated villages and adivasi tribes gonds, pardhans live in adjacent villages to kolam villages.  Other tribes like lambadis live near road side villages along with gonds.  All the tribes follow their own system of rules and regulations to govern their societies and villages.   Governments  at the state and centre  are taking a lot of programmes, projects and schemes to uplift the tribals and improve their standard of living.  One of the programmes of the Government is education which is more important.

Society School Introduction

Satisree Education Welfare Society is located in Gangapur Village, Narnoor Mandal, Adilabad District. Our school serves as a beacon of hope for tribal children, providing them with the education and support they need to build a better future. We believe that every child deserves access to quality education, regardless of their background or circumstances.

To ensure that every child has the basic tools they need for success, we provide school bags, uniforms, notebooks, and stationery on a concessional basis. These items not only reduce the financial burden on families but also promote a sense of pride and belonging among the students.

Nutrition plays a vital role in a child’s ability to learn and grow. Our mid-day meal program provides students with nutritious food that meets their dietary needs, supporting their overall health and academic performance.

Transportation is a significant barrier for many of our students. To address this, we provide Society bus services that safely transport children from remote areas to the school. This service has been instrumental in improving attendance rates and ensuring that education is accessible to all.

Our faculty is the backbone of our school. Comprising experienced and dedicated teachers, our team is committed to providing quality education and supporting the personal and academic growth of each student. They go above and beyond to ensure that every child feels valued and capable of achieving their potential.
